Questions, answered.

Everything you might want to know about anonymous VPS hosting, crypto payments, and what running a server with uNode actually looks like.

Anonymity & KYC

Do I have to verify my identity to sign up?

No. uNode does not collect ID, selfies, address, or any government documents at any tier. You sign in with Telegram and pay with cryptocurrency. We never run KYC, and we never share data with third parties for verification.

What information does uNode actually see about me?

Only what Telegram passes through during sign-in: your Telegram user ID, optional first name and username. We do not collect your IP geolocation, device fingerprint, or browsing behavior beyond standard server logs that rotate quickly.

Is anonymous VPS hosting legal?

Yes, in the United States and most jurisdictions. Hosting providers are not currently required to KYC their customers in the US. You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to whatever you run on the server.

Can I sign up over Tor or a VPN?

Yes. We do not block Tor or VPN traffic during signup or use. The only constraint is that Telegram itself sometimes rate-limits new account creation from these networks.

Payments

Which cryptocurrencies do you accept?

Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), USDT (TRC-20 and ERC-20), Solana (SOL), TRON (TRX), BNB, DOGE, MATIC, plus 80+ other assets through our payment provider — 90+ in total.

Do you accept credit cards or PayPal?

No. uNode is a crypto-only host. Accepting fiat would force us into KYC obligations that conflict with our anonymity model. There is no plan to add fiat rails.

How does billing work?

You top up an account balance with crypto. Servers are billed monthly against that balance. As long as your balance covers the next month, your servers stay running. You can pre-fund any amount.

Can I get a refund?

Crypto top-ups are non-refundable once confirmed on-chain. However, you can stop paying for a server at any time and it stops at the end of the current billing cycle. Unspent balance stays on your account for future use.

What's the minimum payment?

There is no minimum top-up beyond what your chosen cryptocurrency requires for a viable on-chain transaction. Practically, $5–$10 covers a month on the entry plans.

Deployment & infrastructure

How fast can I deploy a VPS?

Most servers provision in under 60 seconds. You see the IP address and root password in the dashboard the moment provisioning completes — no email confirmations, no manual approvals.

Where are your servers located?

Salt Lake City, Utah, United States. Single region, AMD EPYC hardware, NVMe SSD storage, 10 Gbps network with redundant uplinks.

What operating systems are supported?

Ubuntu LTS (22.04, 24.04), Debian (12), AlmaLinux 9, Rocky Linux 9, CentOS Stream 9, and Windows Server. You can also boot from a custom ISO via the dashboard's recovery console.

Do I get full root access?

Yes. Every plan includes full root (Linux) or administrator (Windows) access. We do not install agents, do not block kernel modules, and do not introspect your VPS.

Can I set reverse DNS / PTR records?

Yes — directly from the dashboard, no support ticket needed. This is essential for running mail servers and is included on every plan.

Use cases & policy

What can I host on a uNode VPS?

Pretty much anything legal: web apps, mail servers, game servers, VPN/WireGuard endpoints, Tor relays (non-exit), bots, self-hosted SaaS, container clusters, language model inference. Our acceptable use policy prohibits CSAM, active malware command-and-control, attacks against third parties, and spam from our IP space.

Can I run a Tor relay or exit node?

Tor relays (middle/guard) are allowed. Exit nodes are not, due to abuse complaints and IP reputation risk for other customers.

Can I send email from my VPS?

Yes, with reverse DNS set. Outbound port 25 is open. You're responsible for keeping your IP off blocklists — we don't bulk-mail-warn IPs, but repeat spam complaints will get the server suspended.

Do you offer DDoS protection?

Basic network-level DDoS mitigation is included. Application-layer attacks (e.g., HTTP flood) require your own setup at the application layer or in front of the VPS.

Support

How do I get support?

Telegram is the fastest channel — message @slither directly. Email support is available at [email protected]. Most issues are resolved within hours; urgent infrastructure issues are addressed in real time.

Do you have a status page?

Live status is shown in the dashboard. We post incidents to the official Telegram channel as they happen and resolve.

Is there an API?

Yes — the dashboard is a thin client over a REST API. API access for automation is available on request.
